Glen Johnston

• Glen Johnston is a strategy and transformation executive with more than 25 years of experience supporting governments, boards and executive teams across the GCC, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
• His career spans government, healthcare, education and other complex service environments, with a particular focus on translating strategic priorities into operating models, governance arrangements, organisational capabilities and executable transformation programmes.
• Glen has worked extensively within the Government of Dubai, including assignments supporting The Executive Council of Dubai on institutional reform, governance and operating-model design. His experience includes structural reform across approximately 220 government entities and work on the operating model, governance and institutional design for the Dubai Health Academic System.
• Within Dubai Health Authority and the Dubai Health Insurance Corporation, Glen worked across strategy, regulation, performance and transformation in one of the region’s most complex healthcare environments. His work included payer-provider governance, performance frameworks and a major revenue-cycle transformation programme spanning more than 20 hospitals and clinics.
• Glen has also held senior operational and transformation leadership roles within healthcare delivery. At Mubadala Health Dubai, he supported the commissioning, stabilisation and subsequent optimisation of a major multispecialty healthcare facility, working across operations, service development, regulatory requirements and organisational performance.
• His recent work with Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare has focused on enterprise population-health transformation, establishing governance, operating structures and delivery mechanisms across a complex healthcare system. The work brought together prevention, screening, chronic disease, analytics, provider alignment and performance management within a coordinated transformation approach.
• Earlier in his career, Glen contributed to the establishment and development of major education institutions in Dubai and worked in New Zealand on national health-information transformation, including development of a business case that secured more than NZ$150 million in government investment.
• Across these assignments, Glen has helped organisations clarify strategic choices, redesign operating models, establish transformation governance, define decision rights and accountabilities, prioritise complex portfolios and strengthen the connection between executive intent and operational delivery.
• Glen founded JP Associates in July 2024 as an independent platform bringing together experienced Chief Advisors to support organisations facing complex strategic, organisational and transformation challenges.
